our Happy Thanksgiving

Doug and I went up to my parents house in Wyoming for Thanksgiving. It was so fun because 8 out of the 11 kids were there with their families...so like 30 people in total! I love going home and spending time with my family...especially during the holidays. PLUS, I LOVE Thanksgiving! Making my homemade pies on Thanksgiving EVE (we kinda had a pie party of sorts :)...I made triple berry and chocolate cream:)

The guys made a 60 yard football field in my parents pasture...(complete with spray painted lines, orange cones, and twine--real legit) for their Turkey Bowl...here is a picture of Brady and me watching the game from our truck to keep warm, Brady really was watching the game!My 12 year-old sis. Brady loves driving lately...All the guys...my dad and brothers always play against all our husbands "in laws vs. outlaws"...yeah, our husbands are undefeated 5-0... I'm not sure if my brothers like that much:)My Dad and Brady after the Turkey BowlHere are some action shots from the football gamesI knew it was intense when I saw the Doug drawing up plays on his hand:)I can't help but love this quarterback.

Brady is 4 months!!!

My baby is 4 months old! Yesterday I took him to the doctor to get his 4 month shots, (which is never fun for me), and found out what I already knew...my boy is a BIG boy! he weighed 18 pounds & 2 ounces and measured 25 inches. It seems like this last month Brady has just become such a little person--he grins, laughs, grabs and holds onto things, coos and babbles, and is just so expressive and interactive--being a mom is just more and more fun each day! Here are some of my favorite pictures of him from this past month...enjoy:)
With Grandpa Peterson
Hi Brady!! (it looks like he is waving)
They have such a strong connection! I swear, all day long I hang out with Brady, trying to make him laugh and smile...and as soon as daddy walks in the door Brady just lights up and laughs and smiles at anything Doug does! Don't get me wrong, I love that connection..but seriously, what's up with that??
Here are some close-up & solo shots of Brady that I just can't handle! So Grown Up!
SUCH a BIG laugh!

...the rest of this post are just random pictures from this past month At Grandpa Peterson's BBQ Doug's Aunt Penny with Brady and cousin Sophie
I love my niece Soph! And most importantly:) I went to the 12:15 am showing of New Moon with my friend Ashley & her little sister, and we also met up with Doug's cousin Jill at the theatre. The movie was AMAZING!! We made shirts-- Ashley and her sister were both Team Jacob, and I was Team Edward of course!! What team are you on???

Happy 24th Birthday..to ME!!!

I celebrated my 24th birthday this past Saturday, November 14th. I didn't get much sleep the night before because I was so excited for the next day! My Queen of the Day started with breakfast in bed, from my omelet master husband, flowers, and a card from Doug and Brady (addressed to Rebekah & Mommy).
It was fun having a child to share my birthday with this year:)
My family during my birthday breakfast...Brady was about to steal a bite I think!
Such a bug
My mother-in-law and I share the same birthday...such a good day:) Anyways, we all went to Garcias for our birthday lunch.

Brady was being real good and supportive of mommy's birthday dinner...he looked so cute in his car seat
A little smile:)

After dinner we went back home and I opened my gifts from Doug and Brady

Brady watched mommy open gifts from his jumperoo, he really was paying attention
My favorite gift--my new perfume, Vera Wang Rock Princess
Brady gave me the Jelly Bellies:)
My Queen of the Week
So, you may remember that Doug and I celebrate the whole week of each other's birthday, so this whole past week I was Queen of the week. One way Doug made it really cute and special this year, was that before he left for work each day (while I was still sleeping of course) he would write me a little note, addressed to the Queen, on a Post-it and stick it somewhere...it became such a fun surprise each morning when I would wake up and try to find it.
The first morning it was on my mirror
On Tuesday it was on my brush holder on my shelf
Wednesday it was on the toilet paper roll
Thursday it was in the fridge

And on Friday it was on the leaf of Brady's Jumperoo...it was rather camouflaged, so I didn't find it until lunch!! Thank You Doug for a great Birthday Week, and yet another VERY Happy Birthday:)
